AURVA · setup & settings

One theme, four designs. This guide mirrors the theme exactly · the settings reference below is generated from the live theme schema, so what you read here is what you see in the editor.

Install & activate

Add AURVA from the Shopify Theme Store, then Online store → Themes → Customize. Everything in this guide happens in the theme editor · no code needed.

Pick your design first (next chapter). Every other setting adapts to it.

The four designs

AURVA is one theme with four complete identities. Switch in Theme settings → ✦ Style & univers → Style: typography, shapes, palette and the chrome (header, ticker, footer) all follow. Each design also ships dedicated homepage sections.

Precision

Dark, technical, indigo accent. Mono type, sharp edges, dot-grids. Built for sneakers, tech, streetwear.

Couture Noire

Editorial luxe: near-black, gold, Fraunces serif. Conseiller-led hero, lookbook with shoppable pins, film. Built for leather goods, jewellery, fashion.

Organic

Warm cream and clay, rounded shapes, a guide with a face. Built for home, craft, natural apparel.

Lumen

Luminous white: a system of nuanced whites, slate-ink accents, hairline rules, Manrope. Universal · any catalogue breathes in it.

Signature features

The concierge (text + voice)

Every design ships with a conversational concierge: the visitor types or speaks (« a gift, a skater, under €80 ») and gets real products, sized and in stock. Native Web Speech API · no app, no extra cost. Toggle and wording per section.

Visual search · shop your vibe

Visitors drop an inspiration photo; AURVA reads its colours and composes a matching selection from your catalogue. The photo never leaves their device.

The filter system (blocks)

Filters are composable blocks on the collection template: add any number of «Filtre horizontal» blocks (each holds the facets you type, shown as an always-open band or a click-to-open dropdown) and at most one «Filtre vertical» sidebar (left or right, open or closed, holding the facets you list · or every remaining facet if left blank). A facet placed in a block never shows twice. Filtering is instant (no page reload) and degrades gracefully without JavaScript. Facets come from Search & Discovery: sizes render as a scrolling band of chips, colours as swatches, price as a range.

Commercial block

A merchandising tile you drop inside the collection grid: image, heading, button, position and width (1 or 2 columns).

Store availability

On the product page: live per-location availability with green dots, powered by Shopify local pickup. Updates when the visitor changes variant.

Shoppable images & video

Hotspots on any image or video · the pin opens a mini product card with price and a direct link. Used across the Couture lookbook and film, the Organic film, and the Precision «shop the look».

Brand kit (AI palette)

One brand colour in, a full contrast-safe palette out: background, text, accent, border, button label. Dark or light base.

Looks (one click)

Bold, Editorial, Soft, Tech: four designed combinations of shapes, weights and caps applied in one click.

Countdown / flash sale

A deadline-driven banner with live digits; the call-to-action hides automatically when the sale ends. Safari-safe.

AI-readable storefront (GEO)

Schema.org structured data on products plus an llms.txt-style page so AI assistants can read the catalogue · a selling point for the AI era.

Self-hosted fonts

Fraunces, Hanken Grotesk, JetBrains Mono and Manrope ship inside the theme as variable WOFF2 (about 400 KB total). No Google Fonts calls, no external CDN, faster and private. Japanese and Thai use native system fonts.

Dark-mode safe

The theme declares its colour-scheme per style, so battery-saver and forced-dark modes on Android and iOS never invert your pages or break contrast.

Filters, step by step

  1. In Shopify admin, open Search & Discovery (free Shopify app) and enable the filters you want: availability, price, colour, size, and any option or metafield (material, gender, weight…).
  2. In the theme editor, open a collection page. The section already reads every filter you enabled.
  3. Add blocks to compose the layout: Filtre horizontal (type the facet names, pick «Déplié» for an always-visible scrolling band · perfect for sizes · or «Déroulant» for a click-to-open menu) and/or one Filtre vertical sidebar (left or right, open or closed; leave its facet list empty to catch everything not already in a band).
  4. Optionally drop a Commercial block inside the grid: image, heading, button, position, width.
A facet placed in any block never appears twice · the theme deduplicates automatically. Filtering is instant (AJAX) and still works with JavaScript disabled.

Languages

AURVA ships in 7 languages: English, French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Japanese and Thai. Japanese and Thai render with native system fonts (no downloads, always crisp). Add languages in Settings → Languages and translate content with Shopify's Translate & Adapt.
